Peoria Heights Board of Trustees pays bills

The village of Peoria Heights Board of Trustees met Jan. 3 to pay bills.

Here is the meeting's agenda, as provided by the board:

January 3, 2017

1. The meeting was called to order at 6:30pm.

2. Everyone stood for the Pledge to the Flag.

3. Upon roll call, the following Trustees were present: Harn, Carter, and Mariscal. Trustees

Reichert, Fuller, and Cumming were absent.

4. Minutes: Trustee Carter moved to approve the minutes for December 20, 2016. Trustee

Mariscal seconded the motion, which was approved by a vote of 3-0.

5. Minutes: Trustee Carter moved to approve the executive session minutes for December 6,

2016. Trustee Mariscal seconded the motion, which was approved by a vote of 3-0.

6. Correspondence: Clerk Musselman had no correspondence.

7. Announcements: Mayor Allen had no announcements.

8. Trustee Reports:

Public Works: Trustee Harn stated that the water main repairs on Roosevelt were going well.

Administration/Personnel: There was nothing to report.

Economic Development/Village Improvements: Trustee Carter had nothing to report.

Police: There was nothing to report.

Building Maintenance: Trustee Mariscal had nothing to report.

Fire: There was nothing to report.

9. Comments from the Audience: There were no comments from the audience.

10. Old Business: There was no old business to discuss.

11. New Business: Trustee Carter moved to approve Ordinance 2017-1494 to amend the Enterprise

Zone. Trustee Harn seconded the motion, which was approved by a vote of 3-0. Trustee Carter

moved to approve the request to use Tower Park on October 7, 2017 for the Cystic Fibrosis

Walk. Trustee Carter moved to approve the request to use Tower Park on August 4 and 5, 2017

for the Tower Park Music Fest. Trustee Harn seconded the motion, which was approved by a

vote of 3-0. Trustee Carter moved to approve the request to use Tower Park on September 17,

2017 for Walk MS. Trustee Mariscal seconded the motion, which was approved by a vote of 3-0.

Trustee Carter moved to approve the request to use Tower Park on September 2, 2017 for the

Illinois Council on Problem Gambling 5K Run. Trustee Harn seconded the motion, which was

approved by a vote of 3-0.

12. Payment of the Bills: Total bills in the Village account is $348,578.30. The total bills in the

Waterworks account is $133,436.65. Trustee Harn moved to approve payment and Trustee

Mariscal seconded the motion, which was approved by a vote of 3-0.

13. Executive Session: Trustee Harn moved to enter into executive session to discuss property at

650pm. Trustee Carter seconded the motion which was approved by a vote of 3-0.

14. The regular session was adjourned at 7:10 pm upon a motion from Trustee Carter and a second

by Trustee Mariscal.
