Brimfield ranked 201th in state in lottery ticket sales

The village of Brimfield had the 201th highest lottery ticket net sales statewide per capita for the month of February 2016 -- down 136 spots from its January ranking.

The per capita lottery ticket sales in Brimfield was $27.37 per person.

Based on monthly sales records obtained by the Peoria Standard, Brimfield generated $23,371.50 in net sales from its two lottery retailers in February 2016, compared to $28,951.50 in February 2015.


The village of Brimfield is in Peoria County, and has a population of 854, according to 2010 census data.

Average sales for municipalities in the region in February 2016 was $23,276.13.

Brimfield's top lottery retailer is Caseys Gen Store #3071 located at 215 E Knoxville St, Brimfield, IL 61517.

Caseys Gen Store #3071 generated 75 percent of Brimfield's February 2016 lottery ticket sales and 1 percent of Peoria County's sales that month, which was $2,700,032.

A close look at sales by city shows that the top five cities with the highest lottery revenue per capita in Peoria County in 2015 were Mapleton, Dunlap, Bartonville, Hanna City and Brimfield.

Statewide, the top five cities with the highest lottery revenue per capita were Forest View, Burnt Prairie, McCook, Mapleton and Merrionette Park.

The top five cities in the state generated $5,496,719 in net sales -- 1 percent of the state's 2015 net sales amounting to $2,793,271,709.50.
