City of Chillicothe Public Safety Committee met June 19.

The Public Safety Committee met on June 19, 2017, at noon, in the council chambers at city hall.
Present: Alderman Sharp, Alderman Cantwell, Mayor White, Office Manager Passage
Keith Plavec, Maurer Stutz, Scott Wolf, Maurer Stutz
Absent: Chairman Hughes
In the absence of Chairman Hughes, Mayor White called the meeting to order. The purpose of the meeting was to have discussion regarding a contract with Maurer Stutz to provide the City of Chillicothe with building code inspections.
A discussion was held regarding items of construction that would need an inspection.
Keith Plavec addressed the committee regarding their contract. He stated that it would be $100 an hour fee plus mileage. He stated that they would try to combine inspections where they could to save travel.
Mayor White asked that when they invoice the city if they could identify by property, how much time per property is spent. This will allow the city to review costs at a later date.
A discuss was held regarding information needed to process a building permit and the inspections that will be required.
Mayor White asked that Keith Plavec prepare a contract for the City to enter into and email it to the Office Manager. He advised the office manager place it as an agenda item for the next public safety meeting, July 3, 2017.
There being no further business the meeting adjourned at 12:45 p.m.
