Report: Norwood School District spent $9,020 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Norwood Elementary School District 63 was up 22 percent from five years ago, according to the Peoria Standard analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Peoria County school district spent $7,396 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $9,020 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 462 to 457 students over the same period.

Norwood's spending in 2019-20 was 37.8 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
