Village of Glasford Village Board met Nov. 18.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

The regularly scheduled meeting of the Village Board of Glasford was convened at 7:00pm. In attendance were Mayor Rudd, Clerk/Treasurer Stetler, Trustees Allen, Randle, Godby and Sheckler. Trustees Arnold and Kingsley were absent. Also in attendance were Streets/Maintenance Supt. Reimer; Chief Beachler; Jason Cohee.

Motion for approval of October 21, 2021 public hearing and board meeting minutes, made by Allen, 2nd by Godby. Roll call: ALLEN—AYE; RANDLE—AYE; GODBY—AYE; SHECKLER—AYE. Roll call . . . all ayes. Motion carried.

Jason Cohee requested of the Board for measures to be done about dangerous stairways at Woodview Apartments. Discussion followed. Mayor Rudd to contact a building inspector to inspect property at a later date.

Motion for approval SNS Construction Services quote for sidewalk from 4th Street to 5th Street in the amount of $6910.00, made by Allen, 2nd by Randle. Roll call: ALLEN—AYE; RANDLE—AYE; GODBY—AYE; SHECKLER—AYE. Roll call . . . all ayes. Motion carried.

Discussion on spending plans for the ARPA program. Board members will decide at December 16, 2021 Board meeting on how ARPA revenue will be spent.

Motion for The Village Corporate Authorities to publicly announce the estimated Tax Levy for the fiscal year commencing 5/01/21 and ending 4/30/22 is $87,787.00, made by Randle, 2nd by Sheckler. Roll call: ALLEN—AYE; RANDLE—AYE; GODBY—AYE; SHECKLER—AYE; RUDD--AYE. Roll call . . . all ayes. Motion carried.

Motion for approval to put Christmas ad in the Gazette for holiday season, made by Godby, 2nd by Randle. Roll call: ALLEN—AYE; RANDLE—AYE; GODBY—AYE; SHECKLER—AYE. Roll call . . . all ayes. Motion carried.

Motion for approval to make donation to the Glasford Christmas Basket fund for $200.00, made by Allen, 2nd by Randle. Roll call: ALLEN—AYE; RANDLE—AYE; GODBY—AYE; SHECKLER—AYE. Roll call . . . all ayes. Motion carried.

Motion for approval to purchase holiday gift cards for employees at $100.00 each, made by Randle, 2nd by Godby. Roll call: ALLEN—AYE; RANDLE—AYE; GODBY—AYE; SHECKLER—AYE. Roll call . . . all ayes. Motion carried.

Motion for approval to enter into 5yr lease with Walz Equipment for $169.71/month yearly maintenance agreement for $540.00 on new postage machine Model IX5AF to meet new USPS Intelligent Mail Indicia (IMI) requirements, made by Sheckler, 2nd by Godby. Roll call: ALLEN—AYE; RANDLE—AYE; GODBY—AYE; SHECKLER—AYE. Roll call . . . all ayes. Motion carried.

Supt. Reimer presented to Board drainage issues at 209 W. Second Street and possible solutions. Discussion followed. Reimer to contact engineers to come look at the issue for possible solutions.

STREETS and MAINTENANCE REPORT presented and accepted.

POLICE REPORT presented and accepted.

October 2021:

20 Officer towed abandoned vehicle on Cheryl Ct

21 Officer was flagged down on W. Main regarding a civil dispute

28 Officer responded to Rt 24 & Banner Marsh on an accident with injuries 30 Officer took report on a traffic crash at Casey’s

November 2021:

03 Officer responded to Rt 24 @ Peoria Fulton County line on accident with injuries 05 Officer responded to Lancaster & Harkers Corner on accident with possible entrapment – no injuries

09 Officer responded to Rt 24 in front of BP on accident with injuries 11 Officer responded to Mapleton BP on a domestic

11 Officer responded to a welfare check

12 Officer responded to an overdose CPR in progress

Peoria County Response to Glasford:

October 24, 2021 Deputy took a report on visitation interference November 14, 2021 Deputy recovered a stolen tool box

TREASURER’S REPORT presented and accepted.

Motion for approval of Treasurer’s Report and warrant list to pay outstanding bills for General, Motor Fuel, Police and Garbage accounts, made by Allen, 2nd by Sheckler. Roll call: ALLEN—AYE; RANDLE—AYE; GODBY—AYE; SHECKLER—AYE. Roll call . . . all ayes. Motion carried.
