Peoria County Joint Commission on Racial Justice and Equity Transportation and Mobility Sub-Committee met November 6.

Annual meeting of the Steering Committee upcoming.
“The JCRJE Annual Commission meeting will be held on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, starting at 5:30pm at the Peoria Civic Center.
We have been working on changes to the JCRJE Charter. To make these changes, the Charter requires a super-majority vote of the Commission, not just the Steering Committee. To get this accomplished, we are having a meeting of the entire Commission. It is important to have a quorum of Commission members present for this meeting. We know that you are busy, please try to adjust your schedule to attend this meeting. Also, during this meeting the Steering Committee and eight Subcommittees will report on their work-to-date.”
Discussion with Andre Allen:
Meeting with Andre Allen: I met with Mr. Allen to discuss our question of having a community event in the area of Western Avenue to address the safety issue of this street. He suggested I contact Tim and Mary to discuss inviting Sgt. Stevie Hughes to one of our meetings and see if we can get Andre Allen there as well. November 6th seemed like a good option for this.
