The intersection of West Ann Street and South Greenlawn Avenue will close to all traffic starting at 7 a.m. on March 31. The closure is planned to last about ten weeks, depending on weather conditions, as crews work on sidewalk and pavement removal for the Combined Sewer Overflow Year 4 Control Project.
The closure aims to allow construction activities related to the ongoing sewer control project. This effort is part of a larger plan designed to improve local infrastructure and manage stormwater more effectively.
During the closure, South Greenlawn Avenue through traffic should use South Western Avenue as an alternative route. West Ann Street through traffic should detour via West Antoinette Street.
Officials advise drivers in the area to exercise caution and be aware of the new traffic patterns due to this closure. Using alternative routes is recommended until work is completed.
The project’s timeline may change if there are delays caused by weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
