On Friday, March 6, the Aurora Spartans, featuring former Peoria Notre Dame High School player Juan Madrigal, were defeated 84-60 by the CMS Stags in the NCAA Division III Basketball Tournament.

The matchup, which began at 2:20 p.m., took place at Mitchell Hall Fieldhouse and marked the teams’ first meeting in the tournament.
