City of Chillicothe Zoning Board of Appeals met April 17.

BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT:

PETITIONER: Steve Turner

VARIANCE LOCATION: 615 W Truitt Ave, Chillicothe, IL

REASON FOR VARIANCE APPEAL: Requesting a variance for insufficient setback on the northwest corner of the building. Code requires a 20ft setback and the current setback is 18.8ft.

Steve and Kevin Turner answered a few questions from board members. A motion was made and seconded to approve the request subject the city council approving the request to change the zoning from R-1 to C-2, Special use.

Vote was 5-0 with the chair not voting to approve the variance as requested.
