City of El Paso City Council met June 15.

Here are the minutes provided by the council:

The El Paso Special City Council Meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm by Mayor Price.

The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

Roll call was taken with Council Members Thad Mool, Will Moore, Alex Brucker Mary Ellen Kilpatrick, Jenny Staulcup and Brandon Barker present.

Others present were: Director of Public Service, Barry Kauther; Recreation Director, Colton Scott; Administrative Assistant, Sandee Kessinger; Kim Kearney and Jennie Kearney as the local press.

Also present via Zoom was Casey Jones.

Approval of Agenda: Brucker moved and Moore seconded to approve the agenda, a voice vote was taken of all ayes.

Public Comments: None

Old City Council Business: The next scheduled council meeting on June 20, 2022 is cancelled, that has now become a Federal Holiday. The next meeting is scheduled for July 18, 2022.

New City Council Business: Discussion was on Resolution #2022-1 in reference to building a new recreation building at South Pointe Park. Moore moved to approve the Resolution and Staulcup seconded. A voice vote was taken of all ayes.

City Council Comments: None

Brucker made a motion to adjourn and Kilpatrick seconded. A voice vote was taken of all ayes.

The meeting was adjourned at 7:11 PM
