CALL TO ORDER

The City Council meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M by Mayor Little.

ROLL CALL

Aldermen present for Roll Call: Alderman Crum, Joos, Neumann, Neuhaus, Babb, and Sipes

Also present were Clerk Steele, Deputy Treasurer Volk, Attorney Herman, Building Inspector Dearborn, Water Superintendent Smith, Street Superintendent Raible, and Office Manager Johnson.

a. Alderman Neumann made a motion, seconded by Alderman Sipes to approve a motion amending the municipal code regulating the keeping of the carrier, racing, hobby, and show pigeons within the city of Marquette Heights. All Ayes. Motion Passed

APPROVE CONSENT AGENDA:

Alderman Neumann made a motion, seconded by Alderman Crum to approve the Consent Agenda in its entirety. Roll Call Vote: All Ayes. No Nays.

a. Approved the regular Council Meeting Minutes of February 9, 2026

b. Approved the Council Executive Meeting Minutes of February 9, 2026.

c. Approved Bi-weekly expenditure in the amount of $104,279.60

ITEMS REMOVED FROM CONSENT AGENDA:

NEW BUSINESS

a. Alderman Neumann made a motion seconded by Alderman Neuhaus to approve a payment not to exceed $3400.00 to purchase a replacement engine for the lawn mower. 01-41-5230, and 01-41-5330 All Ayes. Motion Passed

b. Alderman Crum made a motion, seconded by Alderman Neuhaus to amend the ordinance entitled “Chapter 11 – Flood Damage Prevention”, specifically Section 5- 11-2 (Definitions) and Section 5-11-3(B) (Base Flood Elevation).

All Ayes. Motion Passed

Alderman Neumann made a motion, seconded by Alderman Babb, to adjourn the regular City Council Meeting at 9:10 p.m. Roll Call Vote: All Ayes. No Nays. Motion passed.
