On January 21, 2025, Darin LaHood expressed enthusiasm about recent national events. He stated, “Yesterday was an incredible day for our nation and the world! It is time to get back to work to Make America Great Again “.

Following this, on January 22, 2025, LaHood announced the introduction of new legislation focused on child welfare. He tweeted, “I introduced the Supporting America’s Children and Families Act to protect the nearly 370,000 children in foster care who have experienced abuse and neglect.” He also mentioned discussing this bill with Meghna Chakrabarti from WBUR.
