Senior Josh Kirkham led the Braves at the SIUE Derek Dolenc Invitational, setting one school record and finishing tied for first as an individual.

After an opening-round 73, Kirkham connected on back-to-back sub-70 rounds with a 66 in the second round and a 67 during Tuesday’s third round. His 66 in the second round tied the school record for lowest 18-hole performance as he becomes just the seventh player in school history to reach the mark (first since Michael Mounce in 2018). He then followed with a 67 to become the first golfer in school history with two rounds of 67 or lower in the same tournament.

Overall, Kirkham finished tied for first with a seven-under-par total of 206 with Southeastern Louisiana’s Charlie Forster claiming the outright title via a playoff.

As a team, Bradley tied for fifth among the 16 schools competing with a 54-hole score of 877 – BU’s lowest team score since the 2018-19 campaign.

Luke Ambrust was second on BU with a 54-hole score of 222 – matching his season best with a 71 during Tuesday’s second round.

Bradley returns to action on Monday, Oct. 10, competing at the Bubba Barnett Intercollegiate, hosted by Arkansas State.
