The City of Peoria, in partnership with several local organizations, will hold the Government Contract and Opportunity Expo on March 26, 2026. The event is scheduled to take place at the Peoria Civic Center, Room 200, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Admission is free, and food and refreshments will be available.

The expo aims to connect small business owners, entrepreneurs, and those interested in working with government entities to resources and opportunities in government contracting. Attendees will have the chance to network with representatives from agencies such as CityLink, Greater Peoria Sanitary District, Illinois Central College, Peoria Public Schools, The Metropolitan Airport Authority of Peoria, Peoria County Government, Peoria Park District, and local financial institutions.

Participants can learn about government procurement processes and register with PeAP, the City of Peoria Business Registry. The city will also introduce the new Peoria Buying Plan during the event. This plan provides information on procurement opportunities for government agencies and includes checklists for first-time bidders along with other resources for small businesses.

Registration is required by March 25, 2026 through the city’s website.

Free parking is available at the Peoria Civic Center Fulton Street Lot at 699 Fulton Street. Attendees are advised to use Entrance 3 near Kumpf and Monroe Streets and may consult construction updates on the Peoria Civic Center website.

The event schedule includes a welcome session from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., featuring introductions to the Buying Plan and partner agencies. From 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., attendees can participate in networking activities and meet with partner agencies and area lenders.
