The city of Peoria announced on April 1 that it will host an event called Moving Housing Forward: Residential Development Opportunities on April 22. The event is aimed at developers, contractors, builders, real estate professionals, and design professionals interested in new housing projects in Peoria.

The purpose of the event is to provide information about available properties, development incentives, and resources for supporting new residential construction in the city. City officials say the gathering will help connect industry professionals with opportunities and support offered by Peoria.

According to the announcement, the evening will begin with a presentation focused on development topics. This will be followed by an open house where attendees can explore property options, review maps and redevelopment concepts, and meet directly with city staff and development partners. The event is scheduled from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., with doors opening at 5:00 p.m., at the Gateway Building located at 200 NE Water Street in Peoria.

Admission to Moving Housing Forward is free for all participants. Refreshments will be provided during the evening.

Those interested can find more information or RSVP through the Moving Housing Forward webpage at www.peoriagov.org.
