Dunlap CUSD 323 honors retirees

The board of Dunlap Community Unit School District 323 met as a committee of the whole May 17.

The board meets at 7 p.m. on the third Wednesday of each month at the Dunlap High School, 5220 W. Legion Hall Road.

Here are the minutes of the May 17 meeting as provided by District 323:

Board President Dawn Bozeman brought the meeting to order at 5:31 pm and asked that the roll be called. Those present for the Board of Education were C. Bluth, D. Bozeman, K. Disharoon, and T. Holshouser. Absent were P. Park, B. Rhee, and B. Zowin. Present for the administration was Dr. Parker.

Following roll call, Mrs. Bozeman asked that those present stand and recite the Pledge of Allegiance.

Mrs. Bozeman stated that the Board would open the floor to public participation and asked if anyone would like to address the Board. No one addressed the Board.

Mrs. Beverlin presented information on FY 16 Amended Budget and FY 17 Tentative Budget. Board asked questions. Mrs. Beverlin answered the questions.

The Board took a recess from 6:07 - 6:32 pm.

Dr. Parker, the Administration and the Board of Education recognized the following retirees:

Judy Eckstein Dunlap Middle School 19 Years

Dawn Gorsuch Ridgeview Elementary 17 Years

Linda Phillips Banner Elementary 36 Years

Freddy Campbell Transportation 9 Years

George Montgomery Transportation 13 Years

Mr. Crider introduced Tony Thomason, the new basketball coach.

Mrs. Bozeman asked for a motion to adjourn.

K. Disharoon moved to adjourn. Second by C. Bluth. Voice Vote. Aye: 4. Nay: 0. Motion carried. Time: 6:44 pm.
