Hops and hopscotch came together Friday in Peoria’s adult version of the classic children’s game, which was the theme of Peoria PlayHouse Museum’s HopScotch event, featuring local brews and cocktails, food and live music.
Local distillers and eateries participating included JK Willians, Hearth, W.E. Sullivans, Peoria Brewing Company, Noir, Biaggi’s, Publik House, Engrained and Half Acre. Dave McDonald and his trio provided live music.
“Adults, it’s your turn to play,” PlayHouse stated via its website.
VIP activities began at 6 p.m., with whiskey-tasting, beer VIP zones and plenty of chances to win prizes and score merchandise. Events included a silent auction and a raffle of 23 Year Reserve Bourbon produced by Pappy Van Winkle’s Family Reserve.
Peoria PlayHouse, which encourages children to explore and discover, has expressed gratitude to its many event sponsors, which included several local enterprises, medical practices and financial and civic organizations.
