A detailed review of individual fines revealed that Citizens for Mike Smith was the only campaign committee in Canton that was delinquent in payment for January 2017, according to the Illinois State Board of Elections.
The largest fine that Citizens for Mike Smith has yet to pay was imposed on Aug. 31, 2016, for failure to file. The amount of this fine alone is $5,000.
