The Regular Council Meeting was called to order Mayor Winterroth at 7:30 p.m. with pledge to the flag and a moment of silence to honor those serving our country. Present: Trustees Hoopingarner, Johnson, Stear, Fryxell, Pahl, Engineer Lott, Attorney Connor, Treasurer Braden and Clerk Klatt. Erica Pollock representing Hanna City Park District with request for liquor license for Heritage Days August 25-26, request for Resolution to close Rt. 116 on August 26 for Heritage Days Parade, and request for use of fire hydrant on Runkle Street for Heritage Days and Wednesdays in July for Park District Kids in the Park. Engineer's Report: Since needs of street repair exceeds MFT funds, MFT Program for 2017-2018 is presented in two parts and totals $66,722.80. MFT funds of approximately $41,722.80 plus anticipating $25,000.00 from General Fund. After discussion, Pahl made motion to approve Resolution to IDOT for Maintenance of Roads under the Illinois Highway Code for Hanna City 2017-2018 MFT Program in amount of $46,000.00 … Hoopingarner seconded … ROLL CALL VOTE: Johnson: yes, Stear: yes, Fryxell: yes, Pahl: yes, Hoopingarner: yes … motion carried. Finance (Hoopingarner): Meter reading: Hoopingarner made motion to spend up to $1,000.00 for training on LOCIS with Beacon interface … Johnson seconded … ROLL CALL VOTE: Pahl: yes, Hoopingarner: yes, Johnson: yes, Stear: yes, Fryxell: yes … motion carried. Mayor and Trustee Hoopingarner are meeting with new auditor on Monday.

Sewer (Pahl): Still waiting for repair of Pump from lift station off Lakeshore Drive. Infiltration issues at lift station on Route #116 … will televise line to locate infiltration. Jim is working hard trying to keep up with lagoon issues after recent heavy rains.

Hanna City Sanitary District met tonight and donated $12,000.00 to Village to help cover some of costs for sewer system.

Streets & Alleys (Weaver): Nothing to report … Weaver absent.

Police & Planning (Johnson): Received 8 incident reports.

Water (Fryxell: Approved three checks to be paid from water escrow account totaling $105.00. Fryxell presented Proactive Technical Services Agreement for Council's review at next meeting.

Buildings & Grounds (Stear): Spoke to previous owner's sons on old Texaco station and they say tanks were taken out by George Doubet. Stear spoke to G&O about having Village Clean Up day on June 19 and 20 … regular pick up days … G&O also checking on days to hold an electronics recycling day … would have a 16' van and accept electronics until van is filled. Buskirk looking at stumps around town on Village property and will give price to remove. Need to discuss hiring summer help at next meeting. Rabies Clinic will be held at Village Maintenance Building on May 20, from 1 - 3 p.m. with Big Hollow Animal Hospital.

Stear made motion to approve purchase of new zero-turn mower with 61" deck not to exceed $9,000.00 … Fryxell seconded. ROLL CALL VOTE: Pahl: yes, Hoopingarner: yes, Johnson: yes, Stear: yes, Fryxell: yes … motion carried.

Correspondence: Hanna City Park District has requested use of Village's bucket truck for repair on back of their building.
