The Village Council of the Village of Bellevue, Peoria County, Illinois, met in Regular Session July 11th, 2017.
Mayor Terry Johnson called the meeting to order at 6:00 P.M.
Chairman Johnson directed Clerk Wilson to call Roll.
Present: Mayor, Terry Johnson
Trustees: Aaron Lannert, Leroy Wiseman, Chad Murphy, Martin Schuettler
Also Present: Village Attorney, Lane Alster
Employee, Steve Wilson
Zoning Officer, Rich Stoneburner
Peoria County Officer, Andrews
Absent: Dean Merriman, *Francis Heskett, (participating- Via conference call)
Chairman Johnson declared a Quorum present.
The Minutes of the Regular Council Meeting held on June 27th, 2017 were presented. Motion Trustee
Merriman, second Trustee Schuettler, that the Council approve Minutes as presented.
Motion carried via voce vote.
Motion Trustee Murphy, second Trustee Schuettler, that bills as presented be paid and the payrolls and transfers be approved.
Roll Call Vote was:
Ayes: Lannert, Schuettler, Wiseman, Murphy
Nays: None
Chairman Johnson declared motion carried.
Public Discussion
Resident- Larry Pearson- Presented papers on dogs, and asked what was needed?
Chairman Johnson- We would like for you to clean-up after them.
Resident- Larry Pearson- Yes
Resident- Lynn- Expressed deep concerns about neighbor on Byron Ct., and actions being taken.
Chairman Johnson- Stated actions being taken on Byron Ct., to correct concerns.
Peoria County Officer, Andrews- Explained his actions on this matter, and that dispatched messed up explanation of call on recent incident.
Chairman Johnson, Village Counsel, Attorney Lane- Discussed with resident Lynn on possible solutions.
Trustee Wiseman- Neighbors have had some trouble and need to stand together.
Board Discussion
Chairman Johnson- Discussed with Trustees about Bellevue Plaza, state of building, amount of building that has been viewed by Members, zoning, occupants if any. To follow, the Chairman and Trustees, will hold Executive meeting.
Motion Trustee Murphy, second Trustee Lannert, Executive Meeting to discuss Bellevue Plaza Hardware, proposed bid for purchasing.
Ayes: Lannert, Schuettler, Wiseman, Murphy
Nays: None
Chairman Johnson declared motion carried.
Chairman and Attorney Discussion
Village Counsel, Attorney Lane- I have not received letter from Chief Gilmore, about K-Mart building, will proceed with Bellevue Plaza.
Chairman Johnson- declared no further discussions
Motion- Trustee Murphy, Second- Trustee Lannert, to close meeting.
Ayes: Lannert, Schuettler, Wiseman, Murphy
Nays: None
Chairman Johnson announced that there being no further business the Council meeting adjourned at 6:29 p.m.
