Peoria circuit court names new public defender

Nathan Bach has been hired as a public defender for the Tenth Judicial Circuit Court in Peoria, according to a press release.

Bach was sworn in on Wednesday. 

Previously, Bach was a law clerk in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of Illinois, where he assisted in the federal litigation process alongside Chief District Judge James Shadid.

Bach is a member of the Peoria County Bar Association, where he has been on the Nominating and Membership committees. He also has been an active member of the Peoria community for years, including being on the board of the Young Professionals of Greater Peoria, according to the press release.

Bach will have a tempoerary office at the Law Library on the second floor of the Peoria Courthouse while he awaits the completion of his permanent office space.
