Village of Hopewell Zoning & Ordinances Committee met July 19.

Here is the minutes as provided by the committee:

The meeting was opened at 7:02 PM with the Pledge of Allegiance.

Attendees:

Committee Members Present: Trace Stoller, Chris Minch, Tanya Colby

Committee Members Absent: Rick Brown, Jim Casey

Opening Statement:

Chris Minch started the meeting out by explaining all the handouts and the importance of this committee.

Illegal Vehicles:

Discussed the ATV and golf carts in the village. Chris Minch will address this issue with the attorney. Talked about

the importance of talking to your neighbors, if you see the offender, ask their name and address. This will help to

possibly control the problem.

Dog Issues:

Discussed the issue with loose dogs in the village. Tanya Colby will call the dog catcher to see what actions were

taken.

Abandoned Property:

Discussion on the lot 251 Illini and the condition of the lot. Tanya Colby will call the mortgage company to report.

Chris Minch informed us of an "abandoned" car on 255 Illini.

Enforcement:

Discussed the samples of the tickets for fines.

New Business:

Chris Minch discussed a recent email that he received about obtaining a permit for solicitation. He reported his

return email. Discussed the option of having to obtain a permit to solicit or sell in the village.

Trace Stoller discussed the condition of a few lots and homes as you enter the village.

Chris Minch discussed 2 lots that are coming up for auction in the village.

Next meeting will be 6:30pm on August 16th.

Adjournment:

Trace Stoller made a motion to adjourn the meeting, Chris Minch seconded. The meeting was adjourned.
