Deer Creek Fire Protection District responded to 20 calls in 2016, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System obtained by the East Central Reporter.

The calls in Deer Creek included 13 fires - three structure fires, one vehicle fire and nine other fires.

In all, the department saw $366,000 in fire loss - or about $28,154 per fire.

The department also received seven false calls.
