Mason City Fire Protection District responded to 15 calls in 2016, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System obtained by the West Central Reporter.

The calls in Mason City included 12 fires - one structure fire, two vehicle fires and nine other fires.

The department also received three false calls, including two malicious calls and 1 other false calls.
