Village of Hopedale Board met Nov. 6.

Here is the minutes provided by the Board:

Mayor Eilts called the meeting to order. Trustees Mohr, Schmitgall, Myers and Wittrig were present, Trustee Springer was absent.

Trustee Mohr moved to approve the minutes of the October 16, 2017 meeting. Seconded by Trustee Myers. Motion carried.

Trustee Wittrig moved to approve the Resolution No. 11-6-17 which is a Resolution Authorizing the Pre-Annexation Agreement with The Village of Hopedale and Kenneth L. Birkey. Seconded by Trustee Myers.

Motion carried on a roll call vote with Trustees Wittrig, Myers, Mohr and Schmitgall voting aye.

Trustee Myers moved to approve the Ordinance 11-6-17 which is an Ordinance Annexing Certain Territory to the Village of Hopedale, Tazewell County, Illinois Bearing Pin Number 18-18-26-200-009 for Kenneth Birkey. Seconded by Trustee Schmitgall. Motion carried on a roll call vote with

Trustees Wittrig, Myers, Mohr and Schmitgall voting aye.

Trustee Schmitgall moved to approve the Resolution No. 11-6-17A which is a Resolution Authorizing the Pre-Annexation Agreement with The Village of Hopedale and Margy A. Birkey and Norman L Birkey. Seconded by Trustee Myers. Motion carried on a roll call vote with Trustees Wittrig, Myers, Mohr and Schmitgall voting aye.

Trustee Wittrig moved to approve the Ordinance 11-6-17A which is an Ordinance Annexing Certain Territory to the Village of Hopedale, Tazewell County, Illinois Bearing Pin Number 18-18-26-200-012 for Margy and Norman Birkey. Seconded by Trustee Myers. Motion carried on a roll call vote with Trustees Wittrig, Myers, Mohr and Schmitgall voting aye.

Trustee Schmitgall went over the Bi-Weekly Activities and Ordinance Violation Reports. He also stated the Storm Siren can now be set off from the police cars and the ESDA building however, 2 speakers are not working. He will be looking into getting pricing for a new system possibly in the spring.

Trustee Wittrig moved to purchase the standby generator for the water plant from Eilt’s Electric not to exceed $7800.00. Seconded by Trustee Schmitgall. Motion carried on a roll call vote with Trustees Wittrig, Myers, Mohr and Schmitgall voting aye.

Trustee Myers moved to purchase 6 trees for the park from Slager’s Landscaping not to exceed $1920.00. Seconded by Trustee Mohr. Motion carried on a roll call vote with Trustees Wittrig, Myers, Mohr and Schmitgall voting aye.

Trustee Mohr will be getting prices to lease a gator, however the Village probably won’t lease anything until around February. Mayor Eilts moved to appoint Brandon Gale to the two year term of the trustee office left open at the last election. Seconded by Trustee Myers. Motion carried on a roll call vote with Trustees Wittrig, Myers, Mohr and Schmitgall voting aye.

Village Clerk Rebecca Lippmann gave the oath of office to Trustee Gale.

Trustee Mohr moved to adjourn. Seconded by Trustee Myers.

Motion carried.
