Peoria Park District Board met March 2.

Here is the minutes provided by the Board:

Members of the Board of Trustees of the Pleasure Driveway and Park District of Peoria attended a legislative breakfast with members of the Illinois Association of Park Districts and members of the State Legislature that was held at the Zambezi River Lodge at Peoria Zoo, 2320 N. Prospect Road, Peoria, Illinois, on Friday, March 2, 2018 beginning at 8:00 a.m.

TRUSTEES PRESENT:

Trustees Harant and Ryan and Vice President Robert Johnson.

STAFF PRESENT:

Executive Director Emily Cahill, Brent Wheeler, Trish Blattenberger, Carley Allensworth, Jan Budzynski, Matt Freeman, Becky Fredrickson, Katie VanCleve, Chief Sylvester Bush, Mike Miller, Mike Friberg, Karrie Ross, and Seth Hanchett.

BUSINESS:

Peoria Park District Board Trustees, Peoria Park District staff, state legislators, representatives of the Illinois Association of Park Districts, and members of surrounding park districts and municipalities came together to eat breakfast and discuss legislative issues facing park districts in Illinois. Local legislators addressed topics on the upcoming legislative docket and answered questions from participants.

Upon completion of the discussion, the breakfast was concluded at 10:00 a.m.
