City of Peoria issued the following announcement on May 4.
Beginning Monday, May 7th, 2018, the three left lanes and east side parking lane of SW. Jefferson Street, from Main Street to Fulton Street, will be closed while Custom Underground, Inc. installs fiber optic lines for Comcast. One lane of traffic will remain open at all times, but motorists should expect delays.
This work is expected to last through Friday, May 11th, weather permitting.
