Report: Roanoke Benson spent $11,020 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Roanoke Benson Community Unit School District 60 is up 14 percent from five years ago, according to a Peoria Standard analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Woodford County school district spent $9,680 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $11,020 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 562 to 498.

Roanoke Benson's spending in 2016-17 was 15 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
