Report: Illinois Valley Central spent $8,657 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Illinois Valley Central Unit School District 321 is down 0 percent from five years ago, according to a Peoria Standard analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Peoria County school district spent $8,700 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $8,657 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 2202 to 2131.

Illinois Valley Central's spending in 2016-17 was 33 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
