Report: Lowpoint Washburn spent $11,515 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Lowpoint Washburn Community Unit School District 21 is up 6 percent from five years ago, according to a Peoria Standard analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Woodford County school district spent $10,882 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $11,515 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 400 to 363.

Lowpoint Washburn's spending in 2016-17 was 11 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
