Report: Spring Lake spent $11,238 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Spring Lake Community Consolidated School District 606 is up 4 percent from five years ago, according to a Peoria Standard analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Tazewell County school district spent $10,773 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $11,238 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 86 to 50.

Spring Lake's spending in 2016-17 was 13 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
