CITY OF PEORIA: Peorians Learn to Row for Breast Cancer Survivors – Hosted by Recovery on Water (ROW)

City of Peoria issued the following announcement on June 22.

Recovery on Water (ROW) is a Chicago-based non profit organization that serves as a rowing team for patients and survivors of breast cancer. In an effort to reach survivors outside of Chicago, ROW is hosting a “learn to row” event for Peoria survivors on July 1 from 9:00am to 12:00 pm. The “learn to row” will take place at the RiverPlex Recreation and Wellness Center located at 600 Northeast Water Street, Peoria, IL. Partners for the event include Illinois Cosmetic and Plastic Surgery, the Peoria Park District and the City of Peoria.

Lunch will be donated for survivors and provided by Kenny’s Westside Pub. Over 20 breast cancer survivors have registered with up to 40 welcome to attend.
