Timber-Hollis Fire Protection District responded to 30 calls in 2017 - 66.7 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Timber-Hollis included 27 fires - nine structure fires, six vehicle fires and 12 other fires.

In all, the department saw $508,100 in fire loss - or about $18,819 per fire.

The department also received three false calls.

The Timber-Hollis Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $296,054 in 2017.
