Cincinnati FPD responds to 36 fires in 2017

Cincinnati Fire Protection District responded to 48 calls in 2017 - 77.8 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Cincinnati included 36 fires - 13 structure fires, four vehicle fires and 19 other fires. The fire department also responded to one call for ruptures, explosions or overheating.

In all, the department saw $25,500 in fire loss - or about $708 per fire.

The department also received 11 false calls.

The Cincinnati Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $150,091 in 2017.
