City of East Peoria issued the following announcement on Sept. 14.
Nominating petitions and supporting documents for the April 2, 2019 consolidated election are available at the City Clerk's Office at East Peoria City Hall, 401 W. Washington St. Nominating petitions can be circulated starting Tuesday, Sept. 18.
Positions open in the election are mayor and four city commissioner seats. All the positions are for four-year terms. The nominating petitions and documents will be available through Dec. 17.
All petitions and supporting documents must be filed between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, Dec. 10-17. They can be filed at the City Clerk's Office or mailed to: Office of the City Clerk, East Peoria City Hall, 401 W. Washington St., East Peoria, 61611.
