Lindsay Parkhurst led Democrat Lisa M. Dugan in votes cast in Washington Township for the District 79 state House race, according to the latest vote count.
Parkhurst appeared to outpace Dugan by a margin of 22.8 percent on Tuesday in the township.
In comparison, the 2014 winner, Republican Glenn Nixon, won by a margin of 36.36 percent in that jurisdiction, beating Democrat Katherine Kate Cloonen, who received 56 votes to Nixon's 120.
