City of East Peoria issued the following announcement on Dec. 23.
Congratulations to East Peoria firefighters Nicholas Berlett (left) and Mikel Ernst (right) who graduated from the Northeastern Illinois Public Safety Training Academy in Glenview on Dec. 15. They had been attending the firefighting academy weekly since early October. Deputy Chief Brett Brown (center) attended the fire academy graduation ceremony.
