City of Chillicothe Marketing and Tourism Commission met Jan. 9.

MEMBERS PRESENT: Amanda Oedewaldt, Kevin Yates, Amanda Beadles, Joe Harper, Nick Mc Million, Trianna Kientzel, Mayor White, Director Parker
MEMBERS ABSENT: Dan Colwell, Paresh Patel, Shirley Loser, Michele Pollack, Patty Pierson, Tiffany Moore, Nathenia Zich, Kaci Geier, Nancie Cassidy
Guest: Lelonie Luft – Peoria Area Convention and Visitors Bureau
The meeting was called to order at 3:33 p.m.
Budget Review – Mayor White went over the M & T budget. He noted that most of the budgeted funds have been used as planned and that we do not expect an increase in the revenue for the next fiscal year.
Old Business:
Ride the Rails- The event is planned for Saturday May 18th. The tickets will go on sale starting in February. We hope to have a sell out like we did last time we did this. More details will be shared as they develop. But we do plan to invite all the vendors that we have had for Downtown Thursdays to be set up in the park.
Billboard Update-Chamber – Kevin reported that most of the months are booked for the billboard. The only one he was aware of that was open was for February because someone had changed their mind. But he is pretty sure it will get booked with no problem.
CGI Progress – Director Parker asked if everyone had seen the video on the City’s website. She also reported that she is in the process of using a portion of that video at the town theater. She is working with CGI and ODG to get the final clip done and submitted.
Event Sub Committee Update- No update at this time.
Round table: PACVB – Trianna introduced Lelonie Luft to the committee. She will be taking over Kaci’s positon at the PACVB and Trianna’s positon on this committee once she is appointed in May. She also shared that anyone interested in having an ad in their next guide needs to get the information to them before the end of January; to have major events listed and ad placement.
