Report: Astoria spent $9,931 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Astoria Community Unit School District 1 is up 1.8 percent from five years ago, according to a Peoria Standard analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Fulton County school district spent $9,753 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $9,931 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 371 to 351.

Astoria's spending in 2017-18 was 25.5 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
