Report: Metamora spent $7,338 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Metamora Community Consolidated School District 1 is down 5.8 percent from five years ago, according to a Peoria Standard analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Woodford County school district spent $7,790 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $7,338 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 862 to 918.

Metamora's spending in 2017-18 was 45 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
