Report: Midwest Central spent $10,128 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Midwest Central Community Unit School District 191 is up 3.7 percent from five years ago, according to a Peoria Standard analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Mason County school district spent $9,768 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $10,128 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 968 to 942.

Midwest Central's spending in 2017-18 was 24.1 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
