Report: Washington spent $12,782 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Washington Community High School District 308 is down 5.8 percent from five years ago, according to a Peoria Standard analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Tazewell County school district spent $13,570 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $12,782 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 1172 to 1348.

Washington's spending in 2017-18 was 4.2 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
