Report: Deer Creek MacKinaw spent $9,582 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Deer Creek MacKinaw Community Unit School District 701 is up 3.8 percent from five years ago, according to a Peoria Standard analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Tazewell County school district spent $9,235 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $9,582 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 1096 to 1061.

Deer Creek MacKinaw's spending in 2017-18 was 28.2 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
