Report: Dunlap spent $8,700 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Dunlap Community Unit School District 323 is down 4.5 percent from five years ago, according to a Peoria Standard analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Peoria County school district spent $9,112 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $8,700 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 4227 to 4487.

Dunlap's spending in 2017-18 was 34.8 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
