Report: Brimfield spent $9,783 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Brimfield Community Unit School District 309 is up 11.1 percent from five years ago, according to a Peoria Standard analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Peoria County school district spent $8,806 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $9,783 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 734 to 701.

Brimfield's spending in 2017-18 was 26.6 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
