Report: Spoon River Valley spent $12,178 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Spoon River Valley Community Unit School District 4 is up 7.9 percent from five years ago, according to a Peoria Standard analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Fulton County school district spent $11,285 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $12,178 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 372 to 337.

Spoon River Valley's spending in 2017-18 was 8.7 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
