Report: Spring Lake spent $13,807 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Spring Lake Community Consolidated School District 606 is up 32.4 percent from five years ago, according to a Peoria Standard analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Tazewell County school district spent $10,425 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $13,807 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 92 to 52.

Spring Lake's spending in 2017-18 was 3.5 percent higher than the state average of $13,337.
