Analysis: Central administrators rank 492nd in state for average pay

The 2018 average is 7.1% higher than in 2014 and 12.8% higher than in 2009. District administrators make 10.3% less than the state average of $107,279.
Administrator salaries depend on the district's size, location and resources, as well as the individual's level of experience and education, according to the Illinois State Board of Education report.
The Tazewell County school district enrolled 1377 students in 2017-18. There is an average of 459 students for every administrator, compared to a statewide ratio of 181 to 1.
