City of Atlanta issued the following announcement on Feb. 8.
The City of Atlanta announced that it will open an emergency warming center in anticipation of frigid temperatures. The center will open today, Friday, February 8, 2019 at 10:00 p.m. and will remain open until the morning of Saturday, February 9, 2019. The center will reopen Saturday, February 9, 2019 at 11:00 p.m. and close the morning of Sunday, February 10, 2019. The warming center is located at the Old Adamsville Recreation Center, 3404 Delmar Lane NW, Atlanta, GA 30331. Men, women and children are welcome.
