Caucus Agenda March 27, 2019

1. Recommendation Relative to a Request to rename Marshall Avenue to “Grand Boulevard” and to rename a portion of Pleasant Avenue to “Central Avenue” at the South Hamilton Crossing intersection (SHX), situated in the Sixth Ward, North Side, City of Hamilton, Ohio. (City of Hamilton, Applicant).

2. Recommendation Relative to a Request to approve a Preliminary Plat for the proposed new section of Hickory Woods Subdivision PD (Planned Development). The submitted development plan would create 19 new buildable lots on existing, un-platted vacant land, “Hickory Woods, Block D”, situated in the First Ward, South Side, City of Hamilton Ohio. (Joshua L. Liles per Apex Engineering & Surveying Inc. on behalf of property owner David P. Long of Alum Cliff Industries, LLC.).

3. Recommendation Relative Amending and Supplementing Section 1305.01 of the Codified Ordinances relative to the “Building Code”.

4. Recommendation Relative Amending and Supplementing Section 1309.01 of the Codified Ordinances relative to “Building Department Fee Schedule”.

5. Recommendation Relative to Amending and Supplementing Sections 154.02, 154.03, 154.05, and 154.08 of the Codified Ordinances and repealing Section 154.07 of Chapter 154 “Hamilton Tree Advisory Board” as it currently exists.

6. Recommendation Relative to Amending and Supplementing Sections 915.03, 915.04, and 915.07 of the Codified Ordinances relative to Chapter 915 “Comprehensive Tree and Planting Plan”.

7. Recommendation Relative to Amend Schedule “A” to create the position of External Services Technician.

2. An ordinance approving a temporary extension of the Urban Renewal Plan (Neighborhood Development Plan) for the City of Hamilton, (City of Hamilton, Applicant). (Second Reading).

3. An ordinance amending the City of Hamilton Zoning Ordinance No. 7503, by changing the zoning of the property located at 1012 Forest Avenue (Parcel No. P6461045000058, City Lot No. 11016 ENT), situated in the City of Hamilton, Butler County, Ohio, Sixth Ward, North Side, from R-3, “One to Four Family Residential” Zoning District, to I-2 “Industrial Zoning District.” (Todd Allmand of Water Taxi Marine LLC., Applicant). (Second Reading).

4. An ordinance making supplemental appropriations for current expenses and other expenditures of the City of Hamilton, during the fiscal year ending December 31, 2019. (Second Reading).

5. An ordinance approving a request by Rich Hughes of Kiesland Corporation, representing property owner CA Tellco for LLC, for a conditional use approval to allow exterior storage of modular office and classroom trailers on property Zoned “I-2” (Industrial District) located at 155 Enterprise Drive (Parcel ID Number: P6461059000074, City Lot No. 31908 N PT), situated in the City of Hamilton, Butler County, Ohio, Sixth Ward, North Side. (Rich Hughes of Kiesland Corporation, for property owner CA Tellco for LLC, Applicant). (First Reading).

6. An ordinance levying special assessments for public improvements in accordance with Resolution Numbers R2016-7-25 adopted July 27, 2016, R2017-2-7 adopted February 22, 2017, and R2017-7-34 adopted July 26, 2017, relative to the construction and repair of existing sidewalks, curbs and gutters on various streets and avenues in the City of Hamilton, Ohio. (Final Assessment Roll for the 2016 Street Resurfacing and Concrete Repair Program). (First Reading).

7. An Emergency Ordinance amending and supplementing Emergency Ordinance No. EOR2018-6-57 declaring that opiate abuse, addiction, morbidity and mortality is a serious public health crisis in the City of Hamilton, Ohio and is a public nuisance and authorizing, approving and retaining certain law firms in litigation against contributors of opioid addiction crisis including, but not limited to, opioid manufactures and distributors, by amending the City’s complaint to add any and all defendants. (Two Readings).

8. A resolution approving a Joint Funding Agreement between the City of Fairfield and the City of Hamilton for the resurfacing of Symmes Road/Union Centre Boulevard and sidewalk/curb construction on River Road.
